Shipping and cancellation issues

Items will not ship as described and yet they will not let me cancel despite the items not having left their warehouse yet. Basically their stance is if your order is confirmed, it can't be cancelled despite it not being shipped weeks past the order date. Buyer beware!

Horrible service

Never never ever would I purchase another item from this totally mismanaged company trying to return item n trying to communicate with people from the Philippines was stressful. I recommend u stay away from this company. Wish I could rate a zero!

Dispute

This company is the worst ever. I had a situation where I did not receive merchandise so I called about it. They would not assist me. I put a hold on the charges with my credit company. Then the package arrived and I call this company and credit card company to say that the package arrived and I will pay for the merchandise. Well they put me on a credit hold for all their magazines as I found out. There level 2 lines are always busy does that tell you something. Finally after maybe 30 times I got through. I have had to provide documentation from the credit card company indicating that I paid the charges which I willingly did. Still that seems to not be enough because my account is locked down. I was working with a Katherine and she is the most nasty person and her follow up is bad. She does not respond to my emails where I send the documentation. I will never buy one single thing from this company and their sister companies. I am having to retain an attorney to get my name clear. This is so ridiculous.

Unable to obtain a refund even with total documentation

I have called, communicated via on line chat, emailed and sent two letters to Chadwicks customer service to obtain a refund for two elbow length t-shirts I purchased and then returned, because I did not like the way the material fit my style. I returned the two pastel colored elbow length t-shirts in the same box that they were mailed in and I kept the post office receipt to document the return. When the Chadwicks on line chat informed me that I must email the company, I followed the directions but no one answered my query. Subsequently, I sent Chadwicks in Chelmsford MA, the copies of my documentation - the AmEx purchase, proof of payment, the actual confirmation of the order being received and a copy of the USPS receipt as proof of return. No one has responded. I suppose the next step is to contact the Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce? My advice, do not order anything from Chadwicks unless you are 100 percent confident that you will keep and not return the merchandise, because the company really doesn't care to follow up with customer service.

Consumer service

I love the items from Chadwick's but the company is not worth the hassle and run around. The customer service is horrible, received a gift from my SIL and it was pretty but way to big. I called customer before I shipped it back as I did not want my SIL charged for the return, they said I could pay to ship it back, ok AND they received it and it is still not processed. When I called to inquire I was that I would have to give the credit card information to have it shipped back out… it was a gift I do not have that information. I was told that is our policy and there is nothing else we can do. So now I have to tell my SIL to check her credit card statement to ensure she was credited, which means another good deed gets punished because Chadwick's is incompetent at hiring individuals that can do the job. I will not longer shop with this company as if you do not get the right size the fist time, good luck getting a return.

Great Update! Feel stupid and violated for just discovering being charged $14.95 a month to belong to Chadwick’s VIP Club for a year

Before reading my complaint, I’d like all interested to know that Chadwick’s of Boston reimbursed me for 11 months of VIP monthly charges! Thank you Chadwick’s. You have restored my faith in your company! Below was my complaint….
To get free shipping for ONE purchase at Chadwick’s of Boston back in July of 2021, I had evidently signed up for the VIP Club. It’s been a year so I don’t exactly remember the transaction but I obviously did not see, realize or recognize that Chadwick’s would start charging me $14.95 a month if I didn’t cancel it in 30 days! I do not remember seeing that or I would have! I have not used Chadwick’s since then and now, stupidly snookered and feeling violated, I’ve realized that Chadwicks has been charging my credit card that monthly fee for a year! A year!! That’s a $179.40! How did I not see that! Or more importantly, why did I not receive any email to warn me my 30 period was almost up! Seriously hurt to my core with the business model of this company and probably many other companies like it. Because obviously, you snooze you lose! I’m soooooo upset!!! Will warn all of my ladies friends about this.

Disappointed

I placed an order close to $500 dollars. I received a letter of cancellation. Reason: My Apartment Number was on the line before my address. I don't understand how their letter could reach me but my order could not. Makes absolutely no since. Guess they don't need the money.

It cost me almost $11.00 to return a dress for an exchange. The exchanged dress did not fit either. Another $11.00!!! Almost $22.00 is not acceptable!!! Goodbye Chadwicks!!!

I used to find cute, well fitting clothes. I have shopped with them since the 1980s, and thought I'd find satisfaction. Rats. Disappointment city.
